Options and Licensing

Options

Different projects require different approaches, so we offer a variety of setup and management options to suit:

Hosted or Self-Hosted
For the Hosted option we configure the system on one of our servers, and provide everyone with secure access to it over the Internet.

For the Self-Hosted option, we install the system on one of your servers (dedicated to the system). As part of your network, local users access it over your LAN, whilst users in other organisations access it over the Internet.

Managed or Unmanaged
For your first project with the system, it is probably best to choose the 'Managed' option, where we provide detailed assistance with the setup and ongoing management - tasks like defining the parties involved, user group security etc.

If you are involved with several projects, it will be cost-effective to train a member of your support staff to perform this function, and choose the 'Unmanaged' option.

The choice of hosted vs self-hosted and managed vs unmanaged are not related, and the system is available in all four combinations.

Licensing

Project-based licensing
Licensing is generally per-project, with the system remaining active for the duration of the construction and FM life of the scheme.
